with a master's degree in brain sciences, with decades of experience as a musician and songwriter in many projects and as a sound artist with passion for interdisciplinary projects and a flair for the technology of the past and the future, maria s. honegger explores new territories at the forefront of sound, science & art by using field recordings, spatial synthesizers, various instruments, vinyl samples and her voice. with her work, she tries to raise awareness about having a more conscious approach to sound, its sources, and its blendings and reflections in real or virtual spaces. also the perception of nature and silence is one of her sweet spots - as a treasure in these times, she tries to sensitize about it in her work and living.
