4.0- & 2.0.- sound installations for a video projection by nathalie bissig, 8-10/2024, ‘ninna nanna’, raum für zeitgenössische kunst - benzeholz, meggen / CH
At the beginning, the exhibition house by the lake reminded the artist of a dollhouse. The figures of a dollhouse are certainly meant for carefree play—yet they also reflect the attempt to depict our reality one-to-one. However, the closer dolls come to our essence and the more we try to recognize a form of existence in the lifeless figures, the more uncanny they may appear. The ambivalence of the dollhouse is illustrated in the attic of the Benzeholz. The installation evokes a situation in the attic where laundry is hung out to dry. Projected onto a sheet, a moving rocking horse can be seen here. It is not being ridden, but instead teeters itself with two heads and large paws. Noteworthy is also the sound that Maria S. Honegger composed for the work. Like a fundamental background noise, it extends through the room, allowing it to breathe and thereby bringing it to life. And so the rocking horse creaks and crackles from left to right—appearing both lively and stiff at the same time. Katrin Sperry, Curator.

anthem I / innere stimme / werte
anthem sound design to use in webinars & digital advertising for psychotherapist & coach chow ling prager, july 2023
This composition for the psychotherapist and coach chow ling prager contains all the sound elements needed for webinars, digital marketing or digital waiting rooms and meditation. For this anthem, I combined field recordings from urban & nature environment with electronic elements and synthesizers, as well as statements from the therapist. It now functions like a construction kit, with the sound elements of which new compositions can be generated easily in the same tonality.
